Increase the likelihood of passing the exam! Use this course as exam prep and/or as curriculum supplement to any 40-Hour Training course. Learners will develop a deeper understanding of ABA and the tasks likely to be performed by RBTs. Based on the same methodology as our very successful CBA Learning Module Series, the RBT Exam Prep course uses active responding to fluency to teach the tasks outlined in the BACB's Registered Behavior Technician Task List (http://bacb.com/rbt-task-list/).
This course is comprised of a series of learning module sets containing over 500 unique questions. Each module set is comprised of an acquisition and a corresponding fluency module with the same instructional content. The only difference between the two is that in the acquisition module the timer is for 60 minutes (to learn the material at a comfortable pace) whereas in the fluency module the timer is set between 2 and 8 minutes (which provides the practice that results in fluency -- responding correctly without hesitation). The learner practices the acquisition module until 100% correct is achieved, then practices the corresponding fluency module until 100% correct is achieved. Upon completion of a fluency module, the learner is responding at a rate of about 4-5 correct questions per minute. The literature indicates that achievement of a fluent performance leads to maintenance (long-term retention of concepts) and the ability to apply skills to novel situations (generalization).
There is a limit to the number of times that modules can be accessed. Although this limit is generous, please do not quit the module and forfeit the run. Each license provides 20 attempts to reach criterion (100% correct) and a limited number of additional attempts are allotted for post-criterion practice.
